Due to the high mileage nature of Prokart Racing the karts have evolced in to machines completely different from you standard kart chassis. The karts are a twin engine kart. The formula requires teams to run two 6.5 Horsepower Honda engines in a factory supplied and sealed condition. The engines deliver excellent performance whilst offering an unprecedented level of reliability, teams will run an entire season without the need to rebuild an engine. With many choosing to simply replace an old unit with new after a number years rather than bother with the engine rebuilding process.
A control slick and wet tire supplied by Dunlop. The karts also feature standardized running gear including axle length, axle diameter, brake system, gearing and absolutely no engine modifications. This ensures that each kart in The Prokart Australian Endurance Kart Championship races on a level playing field. The karts and driver run to a minimum weight limit that also helps even out the competition. We have strived to offer an environment that allows excellent, affordable motor racing on a level playing field. Where the key to winning races is the drivers ability not the size of the cheque book he carries. The success of this karting formula is derived from it being a team based sport. Friends, Families and work collegues are able to come together, share costs and experience a good close racing at an afordable level. |
